The last cold snap of the season March 29, 2015

42 degrees last night made for a cool start to the morning and it also brought back a few Manatees. We were blessed to see them and even had a Mother and Baby swim under our kayaks. With it warming up we headed out around Snake Creek and the Barred Owl's chicks are now out of their hidy hole. There are lots of Great Blue Herons flying around and we got to see 1 nest with 4 almost full grown chicks which is a rare sight. Bald Eagles, Purple Gallinule and Limpkins were also a part of our adventure and it was a beautiful Spring day on the river!
