Florida's Nature and the Great Outdoors

On September 14, 2013 Chris, Michelle, Kevin and Jess joined us for a tour of the St Johns River and Blue Springs Run. The Garfish, Tilapia and Mullet are running in the springs and the Gators and Turtles were catching a few rays. The Great Blue & Little Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Anhingas, Black and Turkey Vultures were all out fishing and playing in the thermals and Snake Creek's Alligator Flag is at it's Summer peak. The Butterfly Pea, Vetch, Pink Mallow and Swamp Hibiscus are in full bloom now and throw lots of color to the waters edge. The river was calm, high and flowing pretty good and the blue sky of Florida's late Summer lead the way to a great day on the river.
